BTW, I'm noticing Annie looks even more like Kami in this shot. The boys and Kami's hair (very pretty) is getting so long!

just wondering. . .do a lot of people speak Portuguese? And how does Carl communicate at work? Is it all English? I can't believe I haven't asked that earlier

Oh what a great experience, and very great that you and Carl were able to work out the plan you imagined doing --with Carl taking the early bus and you being outbrave enough to drive around Norway at night (although I guess it was probably still pretty light now that I think about it). What a cultural experience. You probably met more people from different parts of the world in one place that some of us will meet in our lifetime.

So, do you feel like you can pronounce and remember the phrases you learned enough to communicate them effectively? I imagine that would take some doing...I remember how I struggled even trying to say "have a good trip" on your farewell video. Nothing looks or sounds normal.

Wow, it does sound like the sacrifice was worth the gain for this experience. How neat that you met the people you did and that they brought you in to experience the familiar amidst the unfamiliar :). Beautiful city, you guys are really optimizing your time to experience all you can. (look how old the boys are looking!)

Now, I think that is a wonderful thing. To see the juxtaposition of living in another country and reflecting on the blessings of being an American. I was wondering how you fared your first 4th in a foreign country. There is a special feeling of being on foreign soil and feeling love for your own homeland so far away. I remember being pretty emotional experiencing that. I am impressed such a celebration exists and that you found it.

Sooooooooooo great to get caught up on all your Norwegian adventures. Thanks for blogging about it. I feel like I'm living a little of the adventure with you. I am so impressed by your jumping right in with the culture. And Kami, it's great to see what an explorer/adventurer you've become! Hope you are well. Keep having fun!
